Introduction
ERC has been researching the Canadian storage products market since
1997. Our quarterly segment update now covers a wide variety of storage
products including - Optical Readers and Reader-Writers, Hard Drives,
and Tape products. Commencing Q4 2001, ERC will begin informally tracking
the Canadian Enterprise Storage Market. With the start of Q1-02, a formal

Scope
of Research
A typical
ERC quarterly report provides data on a quarter-by-quarter basis for
each product segment from the prior year with forecasts through to the
end of the current year. Annual historical information is provided for
the previous two years with forecasts for the current year and two years
into the future. These forecasts are continuously reviewed and revised
where necessary based on current information and economic and industry
trends.
End-user
and buyer research are critical in developing accurate market forecasts.
Frequently, ERC administers electronic surveys to resellers and potential
customers.

independent dealer, VARs/SIs, National SIs and Mass/Franchise Retailers
